ATLS Reporter Hospitalized

On a serious note, we’re sad to report that Guff Stammersloski was hospitalized last week. Guff is a fine freelance reporter who’s contributed to a few of our stories. He was on a brewery tour in Milwaukee when he fell and sustained a head injury.

Bystanders explain that at the time of the accident Guff was talking about the Bush Presidency, noting that 2 1/2 years remain until the President’s second term is over. According to one witness, it was at that moment that Guff “went dumb as a zombie and seemed to have puked in his mouth.” A moment later Guff fainted, slamming his face on a wooden bar stool as he fell to the floor. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, where doctors are feeling cautiously upbeat about the chances of a full recovery.

Our thoughts are with Guff and his family. We look forward to his next contribution to ATLS.
